Sunrise

A rather heated exchange has been brewing over at our sister-blog, AstroTorah, as to the exact proper grammatical term for sunrise. Is it נץ החמה or הנץ החמה? (Further, it is הָנֵץ or הֶנֵץ?) I figured we could settle this here. Discuss!

Hanetz, with a kamatz. It's not a heh hayediya (or else it would have a patach). As per the Radak, the shoresh is nun, vuv, tzadi. The word is in hiphil form, hence the heh.
The Mishna uses it in this form as well. Very old Mishnaic manuscripts (i.e. Kaufman) have Hanetz.
